Brewed by the Flying Dog Brewery in Frederick, Maryland, US since 2006. Doggie Style was the Flying Dog's first ale to gain national recognition at the 1991 Great American Beer Festival where it won "The Best Pale Ale in America".

The Bottle reads:

"Dogs have it firgured out. They sleep all day, lick themselves and eat everything but veggies. Be like the more enlightened species in your house by sipping this classic Pale Ale with its prefect balance of smooth malt and crisp hops. It's so good, you'll want to lap it up like your hound laps up toilet water."
